Job Description: Our client is a market leader in the supply of high-quality safety, PPE, lifting, and rigging equipment to a wide range of industries including construction, mining, manufacturing, energy, and logistics. With a national footprint and access to global brands, they offer their customers deep industry knowledge, exceptional service, and tailored product solutions.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) to join the growing team. Based in either Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne, the BDM will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while strengthening existing client relationships across key industry sectors.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in business development and sales, capable of engaging with senior stakeholders and delivering customised solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting growth targets, enhancing customer value, and representing the brand as a trusted industry leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities in targeted markets.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers.
- Deliver tailored solutions across safety, PPE, and lifting/rigging product categories.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams including procurement, technical, and operations.
- Stay informed of industry trends, compliance standards, and competitor activity.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and contract negotiations.
- Achieve or exceed sales and margin targets within designated territories.
About You
- Proven experience in business development or technical sales, preferably in the industrial sector.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of B2B sales cycles.
- Knowledge of safety standards, PPE, and lifting & rigging compliance is highly desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel locally and interstate as required.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and customer-focused
